All too often these days people are forced to use software that either has too many functions that they don't use, or not enough functions that they do need. Alternatively the software does things in seemingly un-intuitve ways forcing the user to develop a number of 'work-arounds' - sound familiar?
At Webnet Consulting Worldwide we have a firm belief that a piece of computer software should make the users life easier not more complicated. All too often people find that things were more efficient before they switched to using computers - sounds a bit backward really.
We write sotware that tries to do every single thing it possibly can to make your life easier, thus enabling you to use your time more efficiently.
We will spend time with you to see how you work and the processes you go through in your job on a daily basis and then work with you to produce software that takes over many of the repetitive boring functions and does them for you.
We build packages custom built for YOU, software that does what YOU want it to do, not what the programmers thought it ought to do.
P.R.E.S.T.O!
|
We were approached by
Southampton Service Centre to advise on how to improve their business procedures and efficiency in their domestic spares and repairs shop. An application was required that would handle Repairs, Special Orders, Stock Control, and various smaller tasks.
PRESTO! was the result - a fully fledged application customised exactly to the client's requirements. Feature packed with no useless 'frills' - just as the client requested. Rapid data entry facility with the capability to import orders direct from their newly completed website, and auto generate response emails - this package really does it all!
P.R.E.S.T.O! has revolutionised the way we work, I can't imagine how we got by before we had it. Tasks that used to take several minutes are now accomplished with just a single mouse-click! It has become the glue that holds the company together. Recently modified to integrate with our new website it has allowed us to streamline our entire business. - Des C. (Southampton Service Centre)

CID (Caller I.D.)
|
A client approached us with a requirement for improving on some software which had been provided with a Caller ID hardware module they had purchased. The packaged software was restrictive, limited and frequently crashed.
We analysed the data output stream from the hardware module and wrote CID to handle, store, manipulate and display the relevant information. The program was ultimately integrated with the client's existing software to enable them to instantly view
a customers details as soon as the call was recieved.

Enquiry handler
|
The enquiry handler was written to cope with the rapidly increasing number of enquiries flowing from one of our other projects www.spares2go.co.uk developed for '2go Ltd'.
Soon after the launch of the website it was realised quite how much of a market share had been captured and the requirement for the enquiry handler soon became apparent. The website was extended whilst the application was developed in tandem with full handshaking and secure application/website data negotiation to allow all customer enquiries to be safely captured, answered and tracked with maximum efficiency.
I really am impressed with the tools Webnet Consulting have provided for our business, the Enquiry handler has been an absolute godsend, we really couldn't survive without it. Jean C. (2go Ltd)

Kennel and Cattery Management Application
|
The Kennel and Cattery Application was created in collaboration with Chilworth Kennels,Southampton. A need arose for a more flexible package than was being used at the time as the existing package was behaving erratically and in certain cases not performing it's desired functions at all.
We spent time with the client identifying their working procedures and assessing how best to improve them with the aid of a software package. The key features from the existing package were retained, and many new more efficient features were added. The result is a total Kennel and Cattery Management application currently being marketed around the UK and the World.

"Keep Live"
|
Keep Live was created to guarantee reliable remote access to remote servers. Installed for the client (Avaya Ltd) on web servers based in the U.S. and set to monitor the installed Remote Access Software to ensure it stayed running.
If at any point the Remote Access Software stopped responding (thus inhibiting remote control of the machine from the UK offices) Keep Live would forcibly close the Remote Access Software service and the reinitialise it - thus re-enabling access.
